Southern New England Gathering

From: M. (rid25751@ride.ri.net) | Date: 2002-09-12 21:08:51 UTC-04:00
Okay, people, please help me out here.  I had no idea that this was going to be close to me and now I've heard that it *is*, but I've seen so little discussion about it that I am wondering if anyone besides a handful of people are going.

Please email me if you are going or if you figured out the cryptic clues about the date and site.  I just shrugged them off when I read something about "Niantic" because I thought it would be in a neighboring state, but now I have been given a few hints that it's much closer and doable.  So, who's going?? I'd love to meet more LBers around here!

Mary,

Do not despair. You only have to ask and I will show you the way. I
welcome you and I welcome your children. I will be waiting at a
separate location and day before Butterfly greets young letterboxers
at the land of the Western Niantics later that month.

Bummer! We finally figured it out, and we can't go either. We hope a
good time is had by all & we send our regrets.

Um, Tom...

I don't know what you mean. You will be in RI near the gathering the day
before?

Mary

Hi Tom ~

Getting on the band wagon VERY late!  Would it be possible for you to send me the location and directions for this gathering??  I'm hoping to be able to load up the kiddies and hubby and head on over for a little boxing adventure.

Thanks!

Good luck getting info.on the gather in New England. I hear lots of
fancy words that all sound like forked tongue.
Four of 'us Ct' letterboxers are going ? in the direction of all the
noise, but we may end up just letterboxing somewhere in the area ??
We all have wings, and may just overfly the gather ?? boo hoo

Well, I'd have to say that we're with Butterfly in thinking about
just fluttering lightly by the area of the local mystery gathering
tomorrow. We're certainly hoping that no one thinks, just because it
happens to be taking place in our hometown, that we're somehow behind
it - definitely not "our style"! However, catering to popular tastes,
we are in the process of placing several new boxes in the area,
including one called First, which contains a gentle spoof of
Jay's "First Finders Certicate",i.e. a "Finders of First Certificate"
(and not just one, but one for everyone!) So, can't wait to see who
finds First - if not tomorrow then perhaps next weekend at Kids' Day!

Cheers,
Wanda and Pete
